Colobus monkeys are indeed found in Nyungwe Forest National Park. There are two species of Colobus monkeys that can be found in Nyungwe Forest National Park and these are: Angola Colobus (Angelensis Columbus) and Rwenzori Colobus (Angelensis Ruwenzori monkeys).

Angola Colobus (Columbus angolensis): This species is known for its striking black fur and a prominent mantle of white hair around its face and shoulders. They have a long, silky tail and are primarily leaf-eaters, feeding on a diet of leaves, fruits, and flowers.

Ruwenzori Columbus (Colobus angolensis Ruwenzori): This subspecies of the Angola Colobus is endemic to the Albertine Rift region of Central Africa. It is similar in appearance to the Angola Colobus but has a slightly different coloration, with longer fur and a grizzled appearance.

Colobus monkeys are arboreal, spending most of their time in trees. They are known for their acrobatic abilities, with long, muscular limbs that allow them to leap between branches. Nyungwe Forest provides a suitable habitat for Colobus monkeys, as it offers a dense canopy and abundant food supply and heavy sources thus supplementing their diet with in the forest.
